Article "Innovation in Sorting" in the Postal Technology International 2010 Showcase

The market for mail sorting solutions is on the move due to the current economic crises and the liberalisation of the European postal market. On the one hand companies are looking for cost-effective and complete solutions for their inbound, in-house and outgoing mail; on the other hand private postal service providers enter the market. The Swiss company Prolistic and its partners NPI (USA) and Neopost (Germany) offer innovations to meet the customer needs in all these areas: The reading and sorting of non structured addresses of inbound mail and of handwritten in-house mail folders; and the unique concept of a postman’s tour sorting for postal service providers.

Full solution for the Ergo insurance group

Prolistic wins the tendering procedure for the automation of the mail centre of the Ergo insurance group. It’s a full solution which means the automation not only of the outgoing mail, but also of the incoming and Inhouse mail. Prolistic was the only company being able to present existing solutions and know-how in the area of automation of incoming and Inhouse mail. This was the main reason for the consent to buy a four-levelled and two-sided Maxim 8000 with 120 bins.

Automation of the mail centre of LBBW in Stuttgart

With the three Prolistic sorters of the latest generation, LBBW has the tools to sort the incoming, Inhouse and outgoing mail flows. The needs of LBBW could be met using an Atlas sorter, a Vsort and a special bank voucher sorter. The sorters complement each other in an ideal way and can also be used as backup solutions. A unique solution worldwide is the automation of the intern mail.
